July 17 musing the news with a silly grin. Sarah Palin's two hour documentary, that opened to select movie theaters around the US, had no audience. The producer, two people who left after twenty minutes and two others made up the audience in CA. Daughter, Bristol Palin's book sold less than 8,000 copies on her big publicity push. I guess people are getting saturated with Palin ego and greed or maybe, hopefully, just getting more selective. On this hot, damp, monsoon-threatening, dreary Phoenix day, yeah...that made me smile. That's the Blog and here come the forecasts...

July 16 musing the 7 year itch...because Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony
have been bitten by the seventh year of marriage inner questioning blues and are scratching the itch, taking legal steps to end their marriage. The seventh year - when each partner feels alone and separates themselves emotionally is devastating when not understood. All too often and with happy results, I have cautioned clients not to see a lawyer or take any action until February of the following year when timing changes and so does the attitude toward the spouse and the marriage.
In the seventh year, individuals become loners, feel they are losing individuality, become introspective, moody, melancholy, silent, cold and do not communicate. If passions are gone, intimacy and laughter go too and when things don't seem right personally, they blame losing their identity on the marriage, think time is passing them by, become depressed and blame the spouse.
Marriage partners grow and change as individuals and if communication is not something they work at consistently they do not acknowledge and accommodate the changes. Each partner is self-questioning silently and is changing...discovering new ambitions, goals, talents, sensual desires...and if these thoughts are not shared and attitude and lifestyle changes put into play, the seven year itch year is inappropriately scratched and may destroy the marriage as it has done to Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.
